Mushroom Farm
Producing nutritious food while creating opportunities to learn about entrepreneurship, sustainability, responsibility, and hard work.
Poultry Project
Providing nutritious food for the village while developing practical agricultural skills. Operating successfully since 2006, the project includes broilers, egg layers, and indigenous Zulu chickens.
Vegetable Gardens
Growing fresh produce that supports healthy living while teaching responsibility, nutrition, environmental awareness, and a connection to the land.
Home Maintenance
Keeping family homes safe, functional, and dignified through ongoing maintenance, repairs, painting, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.

The Mushroom Farm
The mushroom farm is one of Mother of Peace's most innovative sustainability initiatives.
Originally developed to help provide nutritious food for the children, the project has evolved into a valuable learning environment that demonstrates the principles of sustainable food production and enterprise development.
Children gain exposure to practical lessons in agriculture, nutrition, responsibility, and the value of consistent effort. Harvested mushrooms contribute to meals within the village, while surplus production may support broader sustainability goals.
